Privacy Policy

DevStack.co.nz (the "site") is operated by Consult James Limited, a New Zealand company. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what your rights are under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

DevStack does not require an account, login or personal details to read any page. We collect two kinds of information automatically:

Analytics data via Google Analytics 4. This includes your approximate location (city level), the pages you visit, time on page, the device and browser you use, and the referrer that sent you here. Google may set cookies to support this. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage.

Server logs via our hosting provider (Vercel). Standard request logs are retained for a short period for security and debugging.

If you email us, we keep the email and any reply thread for as long as needed to respond. We do not add you to any list without asking first.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Affiliate and referral links

Some links on DevStack are affiliate or referral links. If you click one and then sign up or purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. These links are disclosed at the top of any page that uses them. See the disclaimer for detail.

Cookies you can control

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not break the site, you just won't be counted in our analytics or see personalised ads.

Your rights

Under the NZ Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send any request to hello@devstack.co.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Children

DevStack is aimed at adult property professionals and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We'll update this page if anything material changes and bump the date at the top. Substantial changes will be noted on the homepage for at least a week.
